Nature has been more than kind to Northeast Wisconsin, providing us with a magnificent variety of birds and waterfowl. It took retirement to provide me with the time and opportunity to view and photograph, and ENJOY, the permanent and temporary bird visitors to my yards and lake. I want to share my experience here with you . . . maybe you will see feathered friends you haven't seen before. Scroll and enjoy!
Northern Cardinal (Mr & Mrs - she is hard to spot)
Sorry about the poor quality image. He is bottom left.
Downy Woodpecker (Mrs to the Left, Mr to the Right, hard to see his red top)
Not the best pic...will be trying for a better one!
An Amazing and Beautiful Annual Visitor . . .
Tundra Swan [Same as Trumpeter Swan except for yellow marking just above the eye and, of course, the trumpeting. Tundra Swans are quite noisy as well however.]
Mr. & Mrs. Mallard Duck
Mr M at my feeders April 2012
Mrs M visiting with Mr M April 2012
Mourning Dove (aka Super Pooper)
Coming . . . (as soon as I can snatch a live photo of these elusive friends)
